Well I must say, working in the banking industry is a bit grim lately. It’s so quiet that we all sit there staring at our computer screens. The phone hardly rings unless it’s another colleague who calls to say it’s like a morgue in their office too. Other than watching the stock market and reading the latest political news and columns there isn’t anything to talk about. Sometimes I wish I worked in a paper mill or perhaps the fashion industry.
Sam is getting ready for his first cub scout camping expedition. We will be going to REI this weekend to get him his own sleeping bag and some other stuff. He asks me every day how many more days to the big “Cuboree” campout. Should be fun. I have to remember to get some longjohns … *sigh* I spent 4 years with the girlscouts but when THEY camp it’s in cabins. This will be my first real campout since the biology club in college. Stay tuned.
